Sophie Scholl and her brother Hans are now celebrated German heroes. In the 1940's they formed the White Rose and distrubuted anti-nazi leaflets at the Munich University. They were caught and beheaded. Their memorial is stone copies of the leaflets embeded in the cobbles at the University square now called Sophie Schollplatz
